Thelma Lea Bacher

Thelma Lea Bacher, 85, of Kansas City passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was born March 15, 1937, in Stone County, the daughter of Albert Britten and Hattie Mae (Williams) Rapp.
She was a 1955 graduate of Hurley High School in Hurley and worked for Lucent Technologies in Kansas City. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Marionville.
On Nov. 28, 1964, she married Joseph “Joe” Bacher, in Stone County. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2014.
Bacher is survived by her sister-in-law, Karon Rapp, of Aurora and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert, and Hattie; her husband, Joe; two sisters, Lucille Gold, and Irene O’Neal and three brothers, Loyd, Eldon, and Charley Rapp.
A visitation was from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, with a funeral service that followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial  followed at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the Shiloh Baptist Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.
