Theresa “Tess” Friend

Theresa “Tess” Friend, 69, of Walnut Grove passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026.  She was born Sept. 6, 1956, in Springfield, to Allen and Shirley (Crussell) Christian.
She is survived by children, Brandon Simpson and wife Becca and Dakota Friend; five grandchildren; sister Becky Holman and husband Rex; family friend Elijha Erwin; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen Christian and Shirley “Jack” Christian, and husband Benny Friend.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
