Thomas Lee Olson

Thomas Lee Olson, 74, of Detroit Lakes, Minn., passed away Nov. 6, 2020, of natural causes at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was born Nov. 27, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minn., the son of the late Armond and Audrey Olson.
He was a 1963 graduate of Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, Minn. He owned Tom Olson Trucking for many years until he moved into truck sales in 1979. He ended his career at Rihm Motor Company in St. Paul, Minn. in 2000 and has spent the past 20 years enjoying his well-earned retirement. On Oct. 23, 1965, he married Sandra Faye Jacobson in Audubon, Minn.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Miss and her family, Miss (Michelle and Bruce Adams, Jared, Ashlyn and Leah, of Fair Oaks, Calif.), his daughter and her family, Jod (Jody and Todd Price, Nicole and Nate, of Vacaville, Calif.), and his son and his family, The Boy (Dan and Nora Olson, Tyler, K.J. and Harrison of Petal, Miss.); brother, Jerry (Jane) Olson of Surprise, Ariz.; four brothers-in-law, Layden (Hope) Jacobson, Wayne (Sandra) Jacobson, Tom (Diane) Jacobson and Parry (Sharon) Jacobson, all of Audubon, Minn. as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial is being planned by the family for the spring/summer of 2021 in Minnesota. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
