Tonya L. Brown

Tonya L. Brown, 32, and her infant son, Jesse, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Jan. 11, 2020 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She was born to Grover and Loretta Harris Brown on Jan. 23, 1987 in Springfield. She was a CNA at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon.
Survivors include: mother, Loretta of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Jessica Brown of Mt. Vernon;  and sisters, Leslie Brown and Loretta Barrientos both of Mt. Vernon. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, James Brown.
A funeral service was held Jan. 21, 2020 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery.
