Vernon Arthur Newell

Vernon Arthur Newell, 78, Ash Grove passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his home. He was born June 22, 1943, in Joliet, Ill., the son of Vernon and Mildred (Hendrickson) Newell.
Newell obtained a GED and worked for Boeing Aerospace Company in St. Louis.
Newell is survived by his wife, Jeckerelyn, a daughter, Amy Newell of St. Peters; a son, John Newell (Jackie), of McClure, Ill.; three grandchildren; a brother, Charles Newell of Miller; a brother-in-law, William Rasmussen, of St. Charles.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Eileen, his parents, Vernon and Mildred and a sister, Dorothy Rasmussen.
A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Campground Cemetery in Chesapeake. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
