Vesta Rae Allen

Vesta Rae Allen, age 85, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 1:14 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at her son’s home. She was born January 4, 1936, in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Alice (Minnis) Wolff.
Vesta was a 1954 graduate of Aurora High School and attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri. She was a homemaker and a farmwife.
On March 1, 1956, she married Dale Thomas Allen, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2006.
Vesta is survived by her son, Dave Allen and his wife, Melinda of Aurora; two daughters, Carla Maples and her husband, Doug, of Aurora and Linda Hilton of Billings, Missouri; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Vesta was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence, and Alice; husband, Dale; brother, Dean Wolff; sister, Arlene Claude and her dog, Mollie.
A visitation was held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Orange Cemetery, north of Aurora.
