Walter T. Wilson Jr.

Walter T. Wilson, Jr., 73, of Verona,  passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was born Jan. 25, 1948, in Camden, Ark., the son of Walter T. and Rachel Lea (Jones) Wilson, Sr.
Wilson was a 1966 graduate of Kingsland High School in Kingsland, Ark. After retiring from Union Pacific Railroad, he worked for EFCO in Monett,  and AFB International in Aurora. He loved hunting and fishing and attended the Aurora First Baptist Church.
On March 14, 1970, he married Debra M. Logan in Independence.
Wilson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debra; two sons, Daniel Wilson of Verona and Bryan Wilson (Amy), of Round Rock, Texas; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters, Janie Brown (Albert), of Scotland, Ark., Sandra Dyer of Kansas City, Marian Sanders of Fordyce, Ark. and Nancy Rice (Ryan), of North Little Rock, Ark.; brother-in-law, JD Logan of Aurora and several nieces and nephews.
Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Rachel and son, Timothy Wilson.
A service with burial will be held at a later date in Flemington. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
