Wanda Jean Larmer

Wanda Jean Larmer, 89, daughter of the late Archie and Mabel (Hutsell) Spurgeon, was born July 7, 1930 in Mountain Grove and passed away Dec. 25, 2019 at Republic Nursing and Rehab in Republic.
Larmer graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1947 and married her high school sweetheart Robert Larmer in 1948. They attended Second Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved spending time with her family and was active in Sewing Club, Stamp Club, Bowling League, and Lydia Sunday school class.
She is survived by: her husband of 71 years; son, Mike (Jana) Larmer of Monett; sister, Wilda  (Tom) Todd of Mountain Grove; brother, Sonny Spurgeon of Sparta; one brother-in-law; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other relatives, friends, church family, and special family friend Geri Upp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: son, Keith Larmer; her sisters, Wilma (Junior) Duey and Charlene (Tip) Forrest; and brother, Willard (Connie) Spurgeon.
Visitation was held Jan. 2, 2020 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, Springfield. Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield.
