Waunita Mae Reese

Waunita Mae Reese, 74, of Aurora formerly of Tulsa, Okla., passed away July 2, 2021, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was born Sept. 8, 1946, in Aberdeen, Wash., the daughter of the late Joseph William and Pearl Pauline (Shumate) Mitchell.
Reese was a 1964 graduate of Hoquiam High School in Hoquiam, Wash., and Cosmetology School.  She was a beautician in Washington and California for 15 years. Reese worked for Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. as a secretary in the radiology department retiring after 32 years.  She supported the Harvest Church in Aurora.
On Dec. 28, 1968, she married Roy Dean Reese, in Montesano, Wash.
Reese is survived by her husband of 52 years; daughter, Christine (Ed) Witte of Aurora; son, Paul Allen Reese, of Aurora; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, William (Jeanette) Mitchell of Aberdeen, Wash.; sisters, Linda (Bob) Veloni and Rebecca Leslie all of Hoquiam, Wash. and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held July 8, 2021, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora.  Burial followed at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation was held July 7, 2021, in the funeral home chapel.
