William Vernon Mart

William “Bill” Vernon Mart, 82, of Monett passed away Wednesday March 2, 2022. He was born on Nov. 26, 1939 in Red Oak, Iowa; the son of the late Marshall and Pauline (Morrison) Mart. He was united in marriage in Indionola, Iowa on June 27, 1981 to Dorothy Phillips.
He was a retired truck driver and a veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Army; serving during the Vietnam War.
Mart is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; one son: Joe Frahm (Teresa) of Republic; one daughter: Tracy Strother (Todd) of Aurora; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Marshall and Pauline two brothers: Bob Mart and Marion Mart and one sister: Sis Mart.
Memorial services for Mart are being held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
