Gerard Douez

Gerard Douez, 53, of Mt. Vernon, passed away July 19, 2020, at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1966, in St. Louis, to James Henry Franklin and Marie Katherine (Ramalia) Douez.
Douez was a farmer, a long-haul truck driver for PTL Trucking Company and a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Aurora. In 1995, he married Michele Angus, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Douez is survived by; his wife of 25 years, Michele; mother, Marie Douez of Tampa, Fla.; sons, Matthew (Codie) Douez of Aurora; Timothy (Laurel) Douez of Monett and Joseph (Caitlyn) Douez of Joplin; daughter, Deborah (Justin) Douez of Aurora; brothers, Michael Douez of Mt. Vernon, Joseph Douez of Omaha, Neb. and Patrick Douez of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Katheryne McClure of Alisoviejo, Calif. and Angela Bisso of Callahan County, Texas; and seven grandchildren. Douez was preceded in death by: his father, James Henry Franklin Douez.
A visitation was held July 27, 2020, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, with a graveside service that followed at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Aurora. Online condolences may be shared at www.CraftonCantrellFuneralHome.com.
