Shirley Mae Jarratt

Shirley Mae Jarratt, 85, of Shell Knob passed away Oct. 5 at her home. She was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Knosaha, Wisc., the daughter of Rudolph and Olga (Wesner) Krause.
Jarratt was a 1953 graduate of Vallejo High School in Vallejo, Calif. and was a member of the Shell Knob First Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for 60 years and a member of the Shell Knob VFW.
In 1954, she married David Mitchel Jarratt, in Vallejo, Calif. He preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by daughters, Quarlene (Martin) House, and Darlene Jarratt, all of Shell Knob; sisters, Joyce (Kenneth) McCoy of Mt. Vernon, Eunice (Ed) Berry, and Carol (Carlton) Neely, all of Hixson, Tenn. and Dorothy Smith of Napa, Calif.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jarratt was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; son, Douglas Jarratt; brothers, Jimmy and Rudy Krause; and sisters, Lois Williams and Elenor Burbrink.
A private burial will be held at the Mikeman Cemetery in Shell Knob, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
