Virginia Ann Olds

Virginia Ann Olds, 79, of Mt. Vernon passed away Nov. 27, 2020, at the Lawrence County Manor, in Mt. Vernon. She was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Springfield the daughter of Ithel and Edith (Fruits) Goist.
She was a 1959 graduate of St. Charles High School, in St. Charles. She was a United States Navy veteran and a homemaker.
She married George Gibbs Olds, Sr. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1988.
She is survived by her son, Russell (Sophia) Olds of Decatur, Texas; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Carl Goist, of Mt. Vernon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, George Gibbs Olds Jr.; brothers, Sam and I.L. Goist Jr. and sister, Eleanor Bruder.
No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
