Larry Gene English

Larry Gene English, 82, of Republic passed away March 27, 2021 while at his home.
He was born on Aug. 24, 1938 in Monett son of the late Buford L. and Lucille M. (McKinley) English. He graduated from Ruskin High School in Hickman Hills with the class of 1956. He then attended the University of Missouri. He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1962 until he was honorably discharged in 1964. For many years, he worked as a computer programmer.
English was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary E. English.
English is survived by his brothers, Gary (Judy) English of Columbus, Ohio and Jerry English, of Independence; sister, Kathaleen (David) Morrison of Ozark; as well as his nephew, Chris (Cyndi) English; nieces, Sheila (Jeff) Evans and Cindy Mitchell; aunt, Dorothy McKinley Gann and cousins, LaTricia and Randy Shomer McLaughlin, Linda Shomer Melton, Alan Ray Cole and Danny McKinley.
A private family ceremony with military honors was held at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
