Christy Ruth Donnell

Christy Ruth Donnell passed away June 2, 2021 at her home in Monett, surrounded by her family.
Donnell was born May 19, 1971 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She and her twin sister Tammy were adopted by Eldon and Doreen Babcock.
Donnell attended Central Christian College in McPherson, Kan. and later Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, Mich., where she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work.
On Aug. 6, 1994, she was joined in marriage to Patrick Donnell.
Donnell is survived by her husband; her parents; sisters, Tammy Babcock-Krentz and Joleen Steele; brother, Lyndon Babcock, as well as many extended family and friends.
A service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Monett Church of the Nazarene, with Reverend Chris Carver officiating. Memorial visitation was held June 8, 2021 also at the church. Memorials can be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home.
