Ovella Dorene Vanderhoof

Ovella Dorene Vanderhoof, 85, of Marionville passed away June 21, 2021, at her home.  She was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Avilla the daughter of the late Ivan Lee and Clorene Evelyn (Wright) Johnson.
Vanderhoof was a 1953 graduate of Marionville High School and was a homemaker.
On May 28, 1954, she married Dewey Gene “Sonny” Vanderhoof in Marionville. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2021.
Vanderhoof is survived by her daughter, Michele (Oren) Edmondson of Aurora; sons, Monty (Pat) Vanderhoof of Crane, Marty (Jennifer) Vanderhoof of Aurora and Mark (Susan) Vanderhoof of Marionville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Natalie Jackson, Bobbi (Noel) Kerans, Olga (Steve) Carr all of Marionville and Jackie (Gary) Harvey of Fort Scott, Kan.; brothers, Ray (Mary Ann) Johnson and Jay Johnson all of Marionville and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Williams Funeral Home, in Marionville was held June 24, 2021, at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
