James Edward Rainey, Jr.

James Edward Rainey, Jr., 44, of Aurora, passed away  Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, at his home. He was born March 24, 1977, in Kansas City, the son of James Edward and Brenda Kay (Overman) Rainey, Sr.
Rainey was a Life Recovery Pastor for Engage Church in Aurora.
On June 16, 2006, he married Brandi Rainey in Independence.
Rainey is survived by his wife of 15 years, Brandi; his mother, Brenda Rainey of Aurora; four sons, Malik, Anthony, Sampson, and Xavier; four daughters, Marissa, Makalah, Aubrey and Taylor and one grandson.
Rainey was preceded in death by his father, James Rainey, Sr.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at the Engage Church in Aurora.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora.
