James Arlo Forsyth

James Arlo Forsyth, 86, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, in Round Rock, Texas. He was born June 13, 1935, in Lyman, Utah, the son of Marvin and Venice (Lyman) Forsyth.
Forsyth was a 1944 graduate of Grant Union High School in Sacramento, Calif. and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a Journeyman Electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
On June 7, 1975, he married Mary Jeanette Shoun, in Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Forsyth is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jeanette; three daughters, Pam Metts (Ron), of Alva, Texas, Darlene Woolhiser of Nixa, and Orvilla McDaniel (Dennis), of Georgetown, Texas; two sons, Jim Forsyth and his wife, Jeane, of Port Orange, Fla. and Bill Hahn (Kathy), of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Thelma Paulson of Taylorsville, Utah; one brother, Clifton Forsyth of Sacramento, Calif. and 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Forsyth was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin, and Venice; one daughter, Paula Hart; two sons, Sam, and Jim Hahn; one sister, Helen Grundy; three brothers, Warren, Vernell and Steven Forsyth and one great-grandchild.
A visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, with a funeral service that followed at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial was at the Summit Cemetery northeast of Mt. Vernon.
