Joan Kathleen Reese

Joan Kathleen Reese, 85, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022 at Republic Nursing and Rehab in Republic.
She was born Feb. 20, 1936 in Wichita, Kan. the daughter of Lester Patrick and Pauline (Schmidt) Patterson. On May 23, 1956 in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Robert Reese, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents and seven siblings, Bill, Ruth, Lillian, Pat, Irene, Amy and Tom.
Surviving are one son, Brett Reese (Karen) of Warsaw; two daughters, Julie Ruzicka (Don) of Mt. Vernon, and Sally Biggs (Kevin) of Boulder, Colo.; one brother, Robert Patterson (Chris) of Wichita, Kan. and five grandchildren.
Reese graduated from high school in Seligman. She was employed by the Bank of Urbana as a teller where she worked several years. 
Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
