Eula Vernelle Helton Conway Stanford

Eula Vernelle Helton Conway Stanford went to her heavenly home on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 11:40 p.m. Eula was born to Loyd Helton and Gladys Danels on August 8, 1930. Eula graduated from Long Beach, California, High School in 1948. She was a drummer in the band and very athletic. She married Wayne D. Conway in 1948. They traveled the world with the Air Force, living in many countries like Japan, Spain, and Turkey. They had four children all surviving. In 1995, she married Stanley Stanford in Aptos, California.
Eula was an accomplished tailor and seamstress. She altered many men’s suits in her lifetime and handmade many wedding dresses. She loved helping with theater creating costumes for productions. She loved to knit, and loved watching birds but her passion was gardening, she loved flowers. Even in her late eighties she could be found outside at the Lawrence County Manor pulling weeds and planting flowers. She appreciated all the help she got with gardening projects from her church family and employees at the Manor.
Eula is survived by her children, Wanda Conway Senn (Al), Dale Conway (Debra), Bruce Conway (Robin) and Marjorie Conway Aleshire (Mark); eleven grandchildren, Don Conway (Jamie), Troy Maher (Carrie), Yvette McIntyre, Thomas Senn, Andrea Pipenbrink (Jeff), Aaron Conway, Laura Adams (Braden), Jackson Choate, Lyle Aleshire, Jess Aleshire and Sara Aleshire Engler; ten great-grandchildren, Logan McIntyre, Amber Conway, Alex Conway, Emma Aleshire, Kalib Aleshire, Calista Aleshire, Colton Aleshire, Caitlin Aleshire, Kyleigh Engler and Kelby Engler; three great-great grandchildren, Hudson Pipenbrink, Hallie Pipenbrink and Brody Adams.
Eula was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Gladys and husband Stanley and her siblings
