Jacqueline Yvonne Edwards

Jacqueline Yvonne Edwards, 93, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022 while at the Legend Senior Living Center in Tulsa. She had previously lived in Monett, Houston, Texas, Joplin and Carthage.
Edwards was born on Oct. 18, 1928 in Monett, daughter of the late Ernest Willard Mitchell and Josephine (Blevins) Mitchell. She was a homemaker her entire life, never learning to drive and never working outside the home.
Edwards is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Mitchell, of Seminole, Okla.; her nephews, Ernest “Butch” Mitchell, of Sapulpa, Okla., James “Bud” Mitchell, of Sapulpa and Rodney Mitchell, of Tulsa, Okla.; and her niece, Beverly House, of Seminole, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Harmon Edwards, whom she married on Feb. 16, 1949 in Benton County, Ark. He passed from this life on Jan. 10, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest M. Mitchell and James W. Mitchell.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, at Buchanan Funeral Home. Reverend Tony Martin will be officiating. Private interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
