Raymond Daugherty

Raymond Daugherty, 42, of Crane,  passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was born April 13, 1979, in Sandusky, Mich. the son of David and Angeline (Bowen) Daugherty.
Daugherty was a 1997 graduate of Aurora High School and served in the United States Army as a survey engineer. He was a member of the Cherry Street Baptist Church in Springfield.
Daugherty is survived by two sons, Christian Daugherty of Verona and Delano Daugherty of Okinawa, Japan; one daughter, Danika Daugherty of Springfield; his mother, Angeline Russell (Charles), of Aurora; his father, David Daugherty of Crane; two sisters, Vicky Nethery (Chris), and Kelly Garner (Nathan), all of Verona; one brother, Tyler Daugherty (Amanda), of Marionville; fiancée’, Brandy Tarkington, of Crane and her children, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Daugherty was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ken Lechner; paternal grandmother, little grandma; paternal grandparents, grandma, and grandpa “Lechner” and stepbrother, Eric Duncan.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Spring River Cemetery, in Verona.
