Dwight Taylor

Dwight Taylor, 72, Monett, passed away March 14, 2022 in Columbia. He was born on June 17, 1949 in Lecompte, La., to Clarence and Wilma (Siesser) Taylor, .
He had lived in the area since 1975 coming from Omaha, Neb. He was drafted into the US Marine Corps in 1969; worked as a knife sharpener for Tyson Foods.
Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Wilma Taylor; brother, Gary Taylor; three sisters, Mary Freeman, Donna Sick and Hadley Hartin and a great granddaughter, Paislee Taylor.
Survivors include: four sons, Willard Taylor (Kari) of Fort Smith, Ark., Charles Taylor (Ashley) of Purdy, Joshua Taylor (Jennifer) of Buffalo and Marcus Taylor of Halfway; brother, John Taylor of Monett; sister, Shelly Edmonds of Galena; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-5 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane. Funeral services  followed at 5 p.m. with Doug Minton officiating. Cremation will be under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane.
