Peggy “Peg” Stanfield

Peggy “Peg” Stanfield, Republic passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022. She was born on Oct. 9, 1948, in Kankakee, Ill. to Robert and Lois (Lezotte) Glassford.
She graduated from Kankakee High School with the class of 1966. She married Ronald Dean Stanfield and they shared 47 years until his passing in 2013. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marionville and after relocating to Republic, she became a member of Hood United Methodist Church. Stanfield worked in the claims departments at the Aurora Wal-Mart for over 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald, and her stepfather Jerry Allee.
Stanfield is survived by her children, Todd Stanfield, Yvonne Clark, Ron Stanfield, Jr. (Tilesha) and Sarah Tauai (Chris); 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings Karen (Jay) Beretoles, Mark (Diane) Glassford; stepmother Julie Glassford; step brothers Bob Lezotte, John (Paula) Lezotte and Larry (Kim) Lezotte; brother Russell (Evaine) Stanfield as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and countless friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org/donate) or Hood United Methodist Church.
A visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral Services were on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Hood United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Republic.
