Joe Pogue

Joe Pogue, 82, of Springfield formerly of Sarcoxie, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on Saturday, May 13, 1939 in Stella to the union of the late Ellis and Lorraine (Kistler) Pogue. He attended Midway School and furthered his education obtaining his associate degree. On May 14, 1960 he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Farney. For 29 years he worked as a supervisor for AT&T. He was a member of Graceway Baptist Church.
 He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pogue is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary; children, Tracy Glouse (Michael), of Monett and Randy Pogue (Patty), of Woodland, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew; sister, Carolyn Sanders (Gene), of Stella; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, April 29, 2022 at Graceway Baptist Church, 5010 S. Farm Road 135, Springfield.
Graveside funeral services for Pogue were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Sarcoxie Cemetery with Pastor Bert Ward officiating.
