Robert Thomas Icks

Robert Thomas Icks, age 76, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away at 9:04 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born October 20, 1945, in Lawrence, Kansas, the son of William Malvin and Anna Margurite (Burns) Icks.

Robert was the owner/operator of a dump truck business and a farmer. He loved hunting, fishing, farming, and cooking.

On June 10, 1967, he married Bonnie Evelyn Coulter in Marionville, Missouri.

Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn; one daughter, Bonnie Detherage and her husband, Brad; one son, Bill Icks and his wife, Sheila; three grandchildren, Laine Icks and his wife, Heather, Chantel Icks and Brandy Detherage; one great granddaughter, Lexie Icks, all of Marionville; one sister, Anna Marie Hitchcock and her husband, Harold, of Lawrence, Kansas and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William, and Margurite; one sister, Linda Merchant and one brother, Bill Icks.

A graveside service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church or the Mt. Olive Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
