Waverly A. Wood

Waverly A. Wood, 81, of Cassville passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Lacoba Homes in Monett.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Eston and Katheryn (Gardner) Wells. On Nov. 18, 1962, she married the love of her life, Paul Wood, in Kahoka.
She attended the United Methodist Church in Cassville, where her faith and community were important parts of her life.
Survivors include her husband Paul of 63 years; one son, Darrin Wood, of Purdy; two daughters, Denise Rairden and her husband Paul, of Keokuk, Iowa and Darla Marion, of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister Marion Hufford of Revere.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Issac Rairden, and one son-in-law John Marion.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital and entrusted to White Funeral Home and Crematory.
