Gail Dean Turner
Gail Dean Turner, 79, of Aurora passed away at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at his home. He was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Bradleyville, the son of the late Orvel and Hazel (Clayton) Turner.
Turner was a 1966 graduate of Bradleyville High School in Bradleyville, and was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Associated Wholesale Grocers in Springfield, and was a cattle farmer.
On June 1, 1991, he married Connie Kay Owens, in Aurora.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Connie; three step-children, Darin Hamelink and his wife, Roslyn, of Aurora; Kim Miner and her husband, Jim, of Marionville; and Joanna Hamelink of Aurora; one daughter, Deanna Moses of Branson; seven step-grandchildren; two grandchildren; one sister, Debbie Wilkey and her husband, Jim, of Springfield; two brothers, Jerry Turner and his wife, Joan, of Ozark, and Tony Turner and his wife, Patty, of Powersite.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
