Stephen Wayne Jespersen

Stephen Wayne Jespersen, 67, of Carthage, passed away Sept. 30 at St. Luke’s Nursing Center, Carthage. Jespersen was born Oct. 23, 1952 in Neosho, the son of Raymond Leslie Jespersen and Betty Jean (Wiseman) Jespersen. He graduated from McDonald County High School and attended Missouri State University. He worked as a software development engineer for Jack Henry & Associates in Monett from 1993 until his retirement in July of 2016. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage.
Survivors include: his wife Peggy Ralston; son, Russell Jespersen (Julie), of Pierce City; daughter, Stephanie Cates, of Oklahoma; five grandchildren; brother, Terry Jespersen, of Kansas City; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Jespersen.
Memorial services were held Oct. 6 at Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Banner Cemetery, Split Log.
