Doris Eileen (Hazelwood) Morales, 69, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sept. 8, 2019, at the Mt. Vernon Place Care Center. She was born March 16, 1950, in Kingman, Ariz. to the late, Burl Albert and Oliva “Geraldine” (Cates) Hazelwood. Morales was a 1968 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School.
Troy “Kenny” McKinley Fly was born March 21, 1951 in Reeds Spring and passed away peacefully at home with his family Sept. 16, 2019 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Kenny was a classic car enthusiast and was loved by many.
Darrell Clayton Hilton, age 84, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at his home. He was born June 14, 1935, in Jenkins, Missouri, the son of James and Hazel (Garner) Hilton.
Merle Lucille Mallonee, 93, of Hurley, passed away on Sept. 12, 2019 in Mercy Hospital, Aurora. She was born Nov. 23, 1925 in Abesville to Clyde and Neva (Richardson) Davis. Mallonee was married to Bill Mallonee Oct. 11, 1947.
Cecil Settle, age 84, was born in rural Mt. Vernon, Missouri, in the family home. His parents, Charles and Grace Settle came to Missouri in 1930 leaving Kansas after the dust bowl with three sons, James, Ellis and Charles.
