Buddy Arivett hit his fourth hole in one on the seventh hole of the Mt. Vernon Municipal Golf Course. Arivett hit the perfect 136-yard shot with a 9-iron club. Witnesses to the feat were David Arivett, Jerry Trogdon and Jackie Swain.

The Aurora Houn’ Dawgs are streaking through the Big 8 East. After faltering to McDonald County in week one, they have outscored their opponents 260-109 and have quite literally run through their opponents by way of 391 rushing yards per game in their seven wins.

Miller volleyball has either won at least 27 games or won a district championship every year since 2015. They have won back-to-back district championships. This year they are hungrier than ever to return to the Final Four.

The Lady Mt’neers started playing their best volleyball down the stretch, winning six of their final eight contests to put a bow on the regular season. Mt. Vernon finished the regular season 12-12-4 and have the opportunity to defend their district title with the second seed.
