Mt. Vernon heads to Stockton, Friday for playoffs
The Mt’neers lost their game against the Marshfield Bluejays, 26-14, at Mt’neer Stadium on Friday, Oct. 22. It was the team’s ninth loss for the season.

The Mt. Vernon volleyball team has jumped out to a slow start this season sitting at just 2-5 after a tough early schedule. However, they were faced with a fantastic opportunity to kickstart the rest of their season as they hosted the October Aces tournament on Saturday.

Miller is just a Class 1 school. However, if you look at their volleyball schedule, you will mistake them for a Class 5 power. Not only are they playing schools that are bigger than they are, but they are also playing bigger schools with very good volleyball traditions and teams this year.
