She was born to Ruben and Hazel Miller Lamar Jan. 30, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a homemaker.
Shirley Louise Smith, 81, of Aurora passed away Sept. 22, 2018, in her home. She was born to Dale and Helen Winters Burney Feb. 28, 1937, in Springfield. She worked for Lily Tulip and French’s in Springfield before retiring.
Bettie Jeane Brandt, 91, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Sept. 24, 2018, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon. She was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Hoberg, to Sam and Lyda (Phillips) Smith.
Minnie Muriel Amant, 82, of Crane passed away March 28, 2018, at her home. She was born July 22, 1935, at Butler, Okla. to T.M. Ray and Bessie Brown Ray. Amant had lived in the area since 1968, coming here from Oregon.
Graveside services for James Edward Brown who was born July 6. 1939, in Miller will be held Friday, October 12, at 10:30 at the Summit Cemetery in Mt. Vernon and will be officiated by Pastor Tim Brewer of the Miller Christian Church.
Morris Wayne Henderson, 90, of Monett, passed away Sept. 3, 2018, while staying at Lacoba Homes in Monett. He was born in Purdy, June 24, 1928, to the late Elzy and Florence (Wormington) Henderson. He was married in 1947, to Imogene Rhea; she preceded him in death in 1996.
Mary Alice Tanner, 95, of Aurora, passed away Sept. 2, 2018, at the Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett. She was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Harrisburg, Ill. to Murray and Fern (Overton) McDaniel.
Neal Anderson passed away on Sept. 3, 2018, at Elfindale Manor, in Springfield, after a long illness. Anderson was born in Kansas City, Sept. 30, 1933, to Ted and Peggy Anderson.
