The Lady Mt’neers softball squad improved to 15-1 on the season after shutting out Marionville, 8-0, last Monday, and putting a beat down on Purdy, 12-4, Thursday night.

After a 14-13 record a year ago, the Mt’neers have been off to a fantastic start this season. After defeating Cassville and Seneca in the Cassville tournament, the Mt’neers won their first two games last week before falling to Cassville in extra innings Monday.

The Monett High School powerlifting team took 17 members to the state competition on March 4, at Glendale High School in Springfield.
